McGuire, Mitchell, & Smiley (MMS)

Overview

The McGuire, Mitchell, & Smiley Family Scholarship (MMSFS) supports the educational goals of family members entering or graduating from college and university. Established in 2001, the scholarship honors the legacy of our family founders—Mose McGuire, Frank McGuire, Kattie McGuire-Mitchell, Roosevelt McGuire, Willie McGuire, Charlie McGuire III, and Cherry McGuire—by helping their descendants pursue higher education.

Through the generosity of family members, MMSFS has awarded scholarships to dozens of students across generations, and continues to grow through donations and fundraising efforts at family gatherings, including our biennial family reunion.
